Specific skills: UNIOVI has a large expertise in the development of analytical tools for the analysis of solids. The group has taken part in several national and EU projects of technological and fundamental interest for the development of new glow discharges as sources for mass and optical emission spectrometry. Oviedo’s group has developed a GD-TOF-MS instrument modifying a commercial ICP-TOFMS.

Research interest and role in the project :Expertise in GDMS, GDOES, and instrument development for analytical purposes. A second testing unit will be in Oviedo. Evaluation of the unit, analytical testing, contribution to the lamps design. Validation of the results.
